About Jonathon Johnson

Jonathon Johnson holds the distinction of being a cast member in 6 different original productions of the musical Hair. When Hair closed on Broadway in July of 1972, Jonathon was playing the lead role of Claude. After the Broadway production closed he joined the famous folk group, The New Christy Minstrels.

He was later asked to join one of the first revivals of Hair, after which he joined another tour of Hair. Being a singer-songwriter, Jonathon pursued a solo singing career during the years following his experiences with Hair. He now lives in San Diego with his wife and daughter.
